Seeing as it started as a service sending DVDs in the mail, Netflix has come a long way. Not only is it the most popular streaming service in the world, it now has its own themed restaurant in Las Vegas. And I desperately want to visit Netflix’s new restaurant.
Netflix Opens First Themed Restaurant in Las Vegas
Netflix is opening a new restaurant in Las Vegas, in the US. Called Netflix Bites, the restaurant will serve food and drinks based on or inspired by some of the biggest Netflix shows and movies.
Netflix Bites is a fully-fledged restaurant located at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The Netflix-themed restaurant has a one-year residency serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to anyone who can snag a reservation.
Examples of the dishes being served are The Grand Line Showboat (inspired by One Piece), and Get Your Knives Out for This Glass Onion (inspired by the Knives Out franchise). There are also themed cocktails, such as The Mind Flayer (inspired by Stranger Things).
According to the MGM Resorts press release, reservations are available from February 20, and can be made through NetflixBites.com. However, ahead of its official opening, Netflix Bites hosted some special guests at an exclusive preview event.
Building Brand Awareness Through Food and Drink
Netflix and MGM Grand describe Netflix Bites as a “one-of-a-kind restaurant.” However, in 2023, Netflix Bites existed as a pop-up restaurant in Los Angeles, and that proved so popular that it was fully booked for the entirety of its existence.
If the Vegas site proves to be as popular as the Los Angeles pop-up did in 2023, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Netflix replicated the idea in other locations. After all, this is a win-win for Netflix, which gets to build brand awareness while potentially making money from the restaurant itself.
If Netflix Bites became a chain, and one opened in the UK, I would definitely visit. Despite my lack of streaming watchlists, a lot of my favorite shows are Netflix properties. So I would love to eat Netflix & Chil-Aquiles for breakfast, followed by Stranger Wings for lunch.

Like me, you probably have streaming watchlists bulging with films and TV shows. But do you really need them?
This isn’t the only real-world entertainment experience Netflix is offering either. It has hosted The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience, Stranger Things: The Experience, and Squid Game: The Experience, with Netflix House coming to Dallas and Philadelphia later this year.
