The wait for iPhone and iPad users is over. Streaming giant Netflix has just added a long-requested feature that makes binge-watching your favorite TV show without an internet connection easier.
A Season Download Button Is Here
On the Netflix app, you can now use a Season Download button. Tapping that will download each episode of a TV season.
To find the button, make sure to look next to the Share option. Selecting it will automatically start downloading all the episodes. To keep track of the progress, head to the Downloads section in the My Netflix tab. In that section, you can also see or delete downloaded content.
The number of downloads you can have at one time depends on your Netflix plan.
With an ad-free subscription, starting at $17.99 monthly, you can have up to 100 active downloads at a time, per device, depending on the number of devices on your plan. If you subscribe to an ad-supported plan, which is $7.99 per month, you are limited to 15 total downloads per calendar month.
The feature has previously been available to Android users.
In January 2025, Netflix raised prices for all three of its available tiers.
Making the Netflix Experience Better on Your iPhone and iPad
I probably use Netflix on my iPhone and iPad as much as I do on my TV screen at home. And the ability to download shows to watch without an internet connection is a great feature. I use it all the time before I’m set to go on a long plane flight or for my children’s Wi-Fi-only iPad.
Instead of having to manually download each episode of a TV show, which is a pain for a long season, being able to just press Season Download is a nice addition.
