If you’ve thought about subscribing to Apple TV+ but haven’t jumped in yet, Apple’s latest promotion is here to make the choice easy.
An Apple TV+ Subscription Is Available for 70 Percent Off
As first spotted by 9to5Mac, you can head to the Apple TV+ site and sign up for the streaming service at $2.99/month, for three months. A big plus is that the promotion is available for new subscribers along with anyone who is returning to the streaming service. You’ll have to subscribe directly through Apple to get the discount.
You can’t take advantage of this deal if you’re currently subscribed to Apple TV+ or your subscription ended very recently.
After the promotion period is up, you’ll be charged the normal $9.99 per month subscription price, but you can easily cancel at any point to avoid that.
The special price is timed before the launch of the latest Apple TV+ series, Your Friends and Neighbors, launching on Friday, April 11. The show stars Jon Hamm as a financial titan who finds himself out of a job and divorced. So he starts robbing his financial circle to stay afloat, but eventually runs into more than he bargained for. It also stars Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Mark Tallman, and Donovan Colan.
This new promotion marks the second time this year that Apple has worked to get more eyes on its streaming service. In early January 2025, anyone could watch Apple TV+ free for a weekend.
A Wave in Popularity After the Second Season of Severance
And if you’re looking to take advantage of the most recent promotion, you’ll get to enjoy the just-concluded second season of Severance that garnered critical acclaim.
Some of my other favorites on Apple TV+ include the science fiction series Silo, Foundation, and From the Earth to the Moon. Comedy is another place that the streaming service excels with great options like Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Bad Monkey.
Along with full movies, another one of my favorite ways to enjoy Apple TV+ is Friday Night Baseball games with battles from teams all around the MLB.
While Apple TV+ is obviously found on all Apple devices, including the Apple TV streaming box, iPhone, iPad, and Mac, you can also find the service on a wide variety of smart TVs and other streaming hardware like Roku and Amazon Fire TV. Back in February 2025, Apple reached across the aisle and brought the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ subscription to Android users.
There are obviously a wide variety of streaming services that want your subscription cash, but one of the most overlooked advantages of Apple TV is something you might not know about. Unlike many other competitors, offline downloads don’t expire on Apple TV+ if you don’t watch them. The content will stay available on your device as long as the subscription is active, and the titles remain on Apple TV+.
