Netflix now lets you integrate its service on your Apple TV, allowing you to see its content directly on the home screen. However, it’s currently available to select accounts only.
See Your Netflix Favorite Shows and Movies in Continue Watching and Watchlist
Other streaming services, like YouTube and Disney+, have long allowed Apple TV to integrate their content. That means you can see recommendations from them appear on your screen’s Watchlist and Explore Channels & Apps list, and it allows you to easily get back to what you were last playing on the Continue Watching menu.
However, Netflix, one of the most popular streaming platforms ever, has long held off Apple from doing this—until now. According to FlatpanelsHD, some users received a prompt on Apple TV 4K asking if they wanted to connect Netflix to the Apple TV app. If you hit Connect and successfully add your Netflix account to the Apple TV, you can now see Netflix shows and movies on the home screen. You can also go to your Apple TV’s settings, find Connect to TV, and choose Netflix to add your account.
Note that this is limited to Netflix Originals only, though, so licensed content won’t appear there. It’s also not yet widely available, with the integration reportedly available only to US Apple IDs. Even some US-based users are missing out on it, too, so it seems that this is a slow rollout instead of one massive feature drop for all users. Furthermore, it only works on the Apple TV box with tvOS. So, you cannot integrate Netflix with the Apple TV app on other devices, like Smart TVs, iPads, and Android phones.

Although this is not a massive new feature that would likely draw in more subscribers, it’s still a great quality-of-life feature that will make using Netflix much easier for Apple TV box users. It seems that the streaming platform has been giving favor to Apple customers, especially as it just recently added a season download button for iPhone and iPad users.
Netflix has recently increased its prices, so seeing these developments can somewhat justify the extra dollars its users pay. But if the increase is finally putting the service out of your budget, you could check out these cheaper alternatives to Netflix so you can still get your movie fix without spending too much.
