Live streaming service Fubo is raising prices once again, making it more expensive to watch popular TV channels.
Price Increase for All Available Tiers
The price increases are effective immediately for new subscribers. Existing subscribers will see the new prices no later than February 10. Fubo attributed the increases to the cost of programming.
Here’s the rundown on the new prices:
- Essential: $85 per month (was previously $80)
- Pro $85 per month (was previously $80)
- Elite: $95 per month (was previously $90)
Fubo will also increase the regional sports network fees charged to some users by $1. That’s included if your subscription price includes sports. It can now be up to $17 per month.
All the available Fubo plans include unlimited cloud DVR space and the ability to watch on up to 10 screens. Essential offers 216 channels, while there are 221 and 299 channels available on the Pro and Elite tier, respectively. Only the Pro tier includes 4K content.
There are discounts available for the first month of service for new subscribers.
Fubo Is Now the Most Expensive Live Streaming Option
With the price hike, Fubo’s Essential tier is the most expensive base option on the market. The base tier for both YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV is $83 per month. YouTube TV raised prices in December 2024.
While Fubo has the largest number of channels available among live TV streaming providers, the latest price hikes make it even less of a value. As an alternative, there are a number of reasons to drop streaming services and make the move back to cable.
If you want to stick with streaming TV, you might take a look at Sling TV. To save money, you can select from a Sling Blue or Sling Orange tier for $46 monthly. You can access both tiers for $61 monthly.
Even though Sling TV has a smaller number of channels, it is still a better option compared to YouTube TV.
