I’m always excited to get my hands on new Soundcore cans, and I’ve just had a hands-on test of the new Space 2 headphones at MWC 2026.
Building on the fantastic Space One headphones, the Space 2 brings upgrades in key areas: better ANC, longer battery life, and audio tweaks that improve their overall soundstage. Better still, they’re an absolute steal for the quality and will easily become the best ANC headphones bargain of 2026.

I tried Anker’s new Soundcore Space 2 headphones
And they’re really, really good
I’ve tried a lot of Soundcore headphones over the years, and these are some of the best I’ve used.
Soundcore has made key improvements over the original Space One headphones, which were already a certified bargain. For around 100 bucks, the Space One packed in great ANC, comfortable earpads, high-res audio, customizable EQs, and much more.
The Space 2 is definitely an improvement in all areas. They have 40mm dual-silk diaphragm drivers with metal ceramic magnets, and while I didn’t get a confirmed frequency range, they sounded great at a very busy and crowded MWC 2026 event.
I quickly tried out a few go-to tracks while standing at the Soundcore booth to get a feel for the sound performance of the Space 2, and it’s clear Soundcore is on to a real winner with these cans. I’d need some more time to really explore these headphones, but at first impression, the Space 2 deliver full bodied bass, decent clarity in the mids, and clean highs.
My go-to was Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone, which is always a great track to test headphones, and I found its layered instrumentals and deep bassline sounded great. I also took Nia Archive’s Maia Maia for a listen, and again found the Space 2 drivers were very much up to the task, smashing out the quick transitions and rapid breakbeat without issue.
Again, it was against the backdrop of a very busy room, and I didn’t want to hog one of the only two pairs of the Space 2 available for too long, but I’m confident these cans will do the job.
The Space 2 ANC appears to be excellent
Noisy room? What noisy room?
The big advantage of testing the Space 2 cans at a bustling event full of tech journalists in full flow is that I could really try the ANC.
And wow, the ANC on these things is great. Soundcore has upgraded the Space 2 ANC to use an “advanced, four-stage, low-frequency noise cancelling system,” and it was immediately noticeable how powerful this is.
After slipping the Space 2 headphones on, the considerable noise in the background was massively reduced, and even moreso once I started actually playing a few tracks. It also speaks to the shape of the plush earpads, too, as they were immediately in the right position and felt super comfortable.
I didn’t get to try out any of the other ANC modes that usually ship with Soundcore headphones, as the Space 2 isn’t available on the Soundcore app yet (or my version wasn’t updated to support them at the time), but suffice to say that the Space 2 ANC looks to be a real powerhouse.
Anker’s new open-ear earbuds solve one of my biggest problems
I knew a tech company would figure this out sooner or later, and it’s Anker who take the cake.
High-res audio and all-day battery life
Just keep the features coming
I’m also expecting big things from the Space 2 battery, with an expected 50 hours with ANC, rising to 70 with ANC off. This puts the Space 2 firmly up there among the best battery performers, and you know that you’ll get multiple days of playback without issue.
Furthermore, you also get high-res audio support through the LDAC codec, which can deliver up to 24-bit/96kHz with supported devices. There is also audio customization through Soundcore’s HeadID 3.0, which tests your hearing and creates a custom sound profile, saved to your profile.
The Soundcore Space 2 headphones will cost $130/£130 and are set for launch on 21st April in Linen White, Jet Black, or Seafoam Green.
