Nightlife in Miami is notoriously over-the-top. Here, it’s not unusual to segue straight from dinner to dancing on the tables. Fire dancers and aerialists come standard with bottle service and booming sound systems. And while most places are closing up shop by 2am elsewhere around the country, Miami’s nightclubs are just getting started, with many staying up until 5am and a select few keeping the party going well into the daylight hours. In fact, a recent study confirmed that Miami parties later than any other city in the U.S.
So it comes as no surprise that two illustrious Miami nightclubs have been named in Nightlife International’s top 100 list for 2024. E11even Miami and Club Space just ranked in the No. 6 and No. 18 spots, respectively—joining iconic venues like Hi Ibiza (No. 1), Pacha Ibiza (No. 11), London’s Fabric (No. 26) and Berlin’s notoriously exclusive Berghain (No. 51). The list is produced annually by Nightlife International, the first non-profit organization in the world formed specifically to represent the main stakeholders in the nightlife economy.
E11even and Space are longtime neighbors in Downtown, serving as anchors in a Miami neighborhood that’s been steadily increasing its nightlife, dining and cultural offerings. Though they’re both known for their debaucherous after-hours parties, the two clubs are actually quite different. Ranked 12 spots above Space, E11even bills itself as “the world’s only 24/7 ultra-club,” boasting headlining events nearly every night of the week with major talent from Cardi B to Steve Aoki. They’re also famous for another kind of talent: the later the hour, the more scantily clad E11even’s dancers become. Plus, there’s a swanky bar and restaurant on the rooftop, making E11even a one-stop-shop for a full-on bonkers night out in Miami.
Club Space, on the other hand, reigns as Miami’s premier dance club. Here, you can catch late-night sets from some of the best DJs and producers around the world. These shows happen up on the open-air terrace, an iconic dancefloor that’s blasted with cooling cryo-smoke as revelers party through sunrise. Club Space is also home to two additional venues downstairs, The Ground and Floyd. These rooms cater to more underground and local sounds, from indie bands and emo nights to more experimental electronic music and intimate DJ sets. Club Space is typically only open from 11pm on Fridays until 11am on Mondays, though they’re known to host epic extended programming during special times of year, like Art Basel and Miami Music Week.
