The holiday season is usually pretty quiet as far as technology is concerned. However, December is filled with companies providing roundups of the year to inform users how much, or how little, they have used their apps over the past 12 months.
Spotify Wrapped arguably started this trend, but now everyone from LinkedIn to Duolingo has followed suit. And while Spotify users the world over are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their Spotify Wrapped roundup, the Apple Music Replay for 2024 has already arrived.
You Can Now See Your 2024 Apple Music Replay
Apple Music users should now be able to view their Apple Music Replay covering the whole of 2024. However, unlike Spotify, Apple Music users will need to go to the Apple Music Replay website and log in to see their roundup for the year.
Any Apple Music user who does will be able to see the amount of time they spent listening to music, the number of artists, and which was their favorite, the number of songs, and which was their favorite, the number of albums, and which was their favorite, which genre they listened to the most, and whether they made it into an artist’s top listeners.
There’s also a roundup you can share, plus your favorite playlists, radio stations, and more besides. While it still lacks the majesty of Spotify Wrapped, Apple has certainly sought to improve the end-of-year Replay experience this time around.
Unlike Spotify, Apple Music Replay is available throughout the year, with a monthly recap of the most interesting statistics. This is both a blessing and a curse, as, while it’s nice to see stats for each month, it means the end-of-year roundup isn’t quite as eagerly awaited.
I’m Still Patiently Waiting for Spotify Wrapped to Drop
I’ll be honest and admit that I’m more of a fan of Spotify than Apple Music, both in general and in terms of the Replay/Wrapped roundups. There’s just something special about the way Wrapped is put together, that means it trumps Replay in every way.
However, the 2024 Apple Music Replay has beaten Spotify Wrapped to the punch, as we’re still waiting for the latter to arrive. I still think Spotify Wrapped will drop on December 4, which just gives you time to update the Spotify app to the latest version.
