We’ll put Miami’s street art scene up against anyone. Seriously. Have you seen this city lately? Sure, you probably know about Wynwood and its world-class murals but that tiny art district holds only a portion of the city’s great street art. You’ll find incredible visuals around town—from Little Havana to Miami Beach. And every year during Art Basel, we get an entire new crop of street art to distract us while we drive. It’s pretty dope. We know. But a quick disclaimer: murals change quite often in Miami. While we’re confident some of these pieces are here to stay, there’s always a chance they could get demolished or painted over. So that’s all the more reason to get off your butt and see them right now.
Hulk Boy (2520 NW Second Ave)
Ron English’s hilarious and slightly terrifying Hulk Boy has been a favorite at the Wynwood Walls for a few years now. It’s also quite entertaining to watch people stand in front of it and recreate Hulk Boy’s pose.

Stop Wars (at NW Second Ave and NW 27th St)
Artist Eduardo Kobra has some of the most eye-catching murals around and just about everything he’s done recently has gone viral. His anti-war homage to everyone’s favorite Jedi master is adorable, sad and important all at once.

The German duo known as Herakut painted this huge wall a handful of Basels ago. Its kept watch over Downtown Miami since, an eerie but sweet resident of the rapidly changing neighborhood.

Everlasting Bass (at NW Sixth Ave and 23rd St)
Visible from I-95, the Everlasting Bass boombox has been greeting commuters for years. The work comes courtesy of Trek 6 and Chor Boogie, and is one of Wynwood’s most recognizable structures.

One Day at a Time (at N Miami Ave and NW 40th St)
ABSTRK painted this wall near the Design District as a tribute to a local Miamian battling cancer. Its message: “One day at a time,” is the sort of inspiration we all need to hear.

Welcome to Miami Beach (4014 Chase Ave)
The artist Lebo created this splashy greeting on the side of the Roosevelt Theatre, which welcomes with bright colors anyone heading to Mid-Beach. It’s just a tad adorable.

I am From a Place Where it Does Now Snow (318 NW 23rd St)
Maybe this is cheating—since the mural is on a roof rather than a wall—but we just love this piece from the poetry festival O, Miami, especially because the words come courtesy of a local elementary student. Borrow a drone to take a look.

Welcome to Little Havana (2614 SW Eighth St)
It’s not hard to tell when you’ve entered Little Havana but we still love this mural. Look closely and see Cuban coffee, dominoes and more Cuban symbols within the letters.

Welcome to Little Haiti (5865 NE Second Ave)
This mural is all about Haitian pride and important figures in Haitian culture, which is highly appropriate since it’s in the heart of Little Haiti.

Esquina De La Fama mural (at SW Eighth St and SW 14th Ave)
Painted on the side of the Calle Ocho restaurant Esquina De La Fama, this celebration of famous Cubans includes Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Benny Moré and more celebrated artists. It also boasts a claim of having the best Cuban sandwich in Miami, which we’ll let you decide for yourself.
