Are Mixmello’s Remixed Playlists Good?
If you’re like me, you probably have heaps of Spotify playlists packed full of your favorite songs. You have them on repeat because, well, they’re all bangers. But what about when you want something different, like remixes of your favorites for party playlists? I found a handy little online app that creates a list of remixed tracks from your Spotify playlists, and it’s super simple to use.
What Is Mixmello?
Mixmello is a handy web app for creating Spotify remixes from your existing playlists. It connects to your Spotify account, and after you select one of your existing playlists, it finds a remix for each available track and creates a brand-new, remix-filled listening experience.
Best of all, it’s incredibly simple to use; you just connect your account, select a playlist, and Mixmello does the rest.
How to Make a Spotify Remix Playlist With Mixmello
It only takes a few steps to create your remixed playlist:
- Head to Mixmello.
- Connect your Spotify account using the Connect to Spotify button. Note that this will share your account information with Mixmello.
- Once connected, input the name of the playlist in the search box. Select the matching option, then Remix Me A Playlist. If you want, you can select to only find acoustic remixes.
Then, wait for the remix-magic to unfold.
Once finished, select Save Playlist to add the remixed list to your Spotify account.
Are Mixmello’s Remixed Playlists Good?
Overall, I’ve been impressed with Mixmello’s remixing options. But the success of your playlist depends on the music you’re trying to remix.
For example, my go-to in-car playlist is a real mixture of all musical genres. As such, some songs just don’t have remixes, while some remixes found weren’t brilliant. Mixmello did its job, but it can’t find remixed tracks that are unavailable on Spotify.
On the other hand, another playlist filled with dance music and similar was much easier to remix. Though at times, Mixmello sort of fills in the gaps, like adding another remixed song by the original artist instead of a remix of the specific track.
Either way, given Mixmello is free and can save you a bunch of time finding remixes of your favorite tracks, it’s a handy little Spotify tool anyone can use.
