The streaming wars have been going on for years now, and all this time later, Netflix still remains the best option, mainly because the hose of content never turns off. Every week, Netflix brings you new things to watch, and that includes this upcoming weekend.
Is it content you want to watch? That’s up to you. But Netflix does have some very relevant new TV shows to take in this weekend. And if the main course doesn’t satisfy, it always provides side dishes.
Love Is Blind season 10 (Feb 11)
Don’t act like you’re not interested
Although it only started back in 2020, Love Is Blind has already produced nine seasons, and people are already lining up to watch the tenth. The premise is the same as ever: Netflix brings together a bunch of singles together in a strange house where they’re all sequestered in different rooms. They talk to each other without ever actually seeing each other, and then decide whether they want to propose before meeting in the flesh. After that, they spend time together in the real world, and we find out whether emotional connection or physical attraction is more important.
Look, no one’s saying Love Is Blind is the deepest, most achingly human TV show ever conceived. In some ways, it’s reality TV at its most artificial and goofy. But there’s a reason it’s produced a decade’s worth of TV in seven year’s time: the situation may be contrived, but the emotions are real, and the series has an addictive pull that makes it all but impossible to not keep watching.
Plus, it’s a perfect release for Valentine’s Day weekend, and you can’t argue with something that’s this on-theme.

How to Get to Heaven From Belfast (Feb 12)
From the creator of Derry Girls
And now for something slightly less silly: How to Get to Heaven From Belfast is a new show from Lisa McGee, the creator Derry Girls. That show was a warmly funny sitcom about life in Northern Ireland in the 1990s, famed for its witty dialogue and fast-paced comedy. How to Get to Heaven From Belfast borrows a few things from that show, including star Sinéad Keenan, but will bring things up to the minute and move the locale from Derry to Belfast.
It’ll also add a mystery element: three friends in their late 30s — Dara (Caoilfhionn Dunne), Saoirse (Roisin Gallagher), and Robyn (Keenan) — attend the funeral for Greta (Natasha O’Keeffe), the estranged fourth member of their childhood friend group. Then things get weird. A series of strange events at Greta’s wake sets the trio off on a dark, dangerous, hilarious odyssey through Ireland…and beyond.
If anybody can marry mystery and comedy, it’s Lisa McGee. This could be a great comfort watch over the weekend. And at eight episodes, it shouldn’t take you an eternity to binge.

The Art of Sarah (Feb 13)
A mystery for the weekend
And now we have a more traditional mystery show: The Art of Sarah is about the investigation into the death of a woman named Sarah Kim (Shin Hye-sun)…or at least, that’s what it seems at first. As detective Park Mu-gyeong (Lee Joon-hyuk) looks into the case, it becomes clear that Sarah had constructed a false identity so she could live a high-class lifestyle, which kind of recalls another famous Netflix drama, Inventing Anna. The Art of Sarah dives into Sarah’s past and explores how she became the woman she pretended to be, and the risks she took to make it happen.
The Art of Sarah comes from South Korea, which has been responsible for a lot of great movies and TV shows over the past several years, including Best Picture winner Parasite, the smash hit Netflix show Squid Game, and the Netflix movie Okja, which might just be the smartest sci-fi film on the whole streaming service. The Art of Sarah looks like it could be another slum dunk.
I didn’t realize these tiny tweaks would make Netflix so good
It only takes a few small changes to massively boost your Netflix viewing experience.
Non-Netflix originals to keep you happy
Those aren’t the only three Netflix originals coming out in time for this weekend, but they are three of the most interesting. And if brand new series don’t interest you, Netflix is also always bringing on board classic series that can entertain you for weeks on end.
If you’re in the mood for comedy, Netflix recently added every season of What I Like About You and Suburgatory. If you want to be swept away on a grand fantasy adventure, it just got the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon. And if you want to dedicate your life to sci-fi for the foreseeable future, on Sunday, Netflix will get all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1.
And of course, there are always older, already-complete Netflix miniseries you can catch up on. On Netflix, your next binge is always just a click away.
